 Guide Training Program
 Our guide training for will take place during the months of May or June. Each applicant is required to provide his or her own life jacket, sleeping bag, sleeping pad and tent - both for training, and for the season. We can provide wet suits, helmets and any other equipment needed during training; however we suggest you purchase your own equipment.

Our guide training program is required for anyone who wants to be considered for employment as a guide, who is not already a licensed river guide in Idaho, and/or for anyone with less than 3 years professional river guiding experience. Space is limited - we recommend that you apply early.  Please forward your resume and 3 references to: employment@salmonriverchallenge.com along with an email describing yourself and your interest in participating in our guide school.

We typically only hire some of the participants and may offer full-time or part-time employment. However, anyone completing this training course will be able to apply to the state of Idaho for a guide's license and will be eligible to guide for any of the other numerous companies in our area.

Training Fee  may apply -I.O.G.L.B. license fee  $120.00

Weekend Warriors
We need weekend guides.  If you live in close proximity to Riggins, love the river, and have a professional yet fun loving personality…we invite you to apply for one of our weekend guide positions.  We will train you at no charge, However…we require a commitment from you from June through September.  Please call for more information.
